The Outlet Bike and Hiking Trail |
4 Minutes south just off Rt 14 to Dresden Entrance |
Follows the old 6 mile canal bed and Keuka lake Outlet gorge from Dresden to Penn Yan. Originally there were 27 wooden locks on this canal.
The railroad replacing the canal was washed out and abandoned in 1972 during tropical storm Agnes. There are still traces of the old canal bed and water-driven mill sites along the trail.

2 Minutes nouth on Kashong Rd just off Rt 14 |
Former 84 Acre farmland in various stages of reforestation. Includes a mix of hardwood forest, brush lands and fields. Trail total 2.75 miles. Free, parking available.
